These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you shall have distress: but have confidence, I have overcome the world.
And when they had ordained to them priests in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, in whom they believed.
And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was earnest in preaching, testifying to the Jews, that Jesus is the Christ.
Testifying both to Jews and Gentiles penance towards God, and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
But I fear none of these things, neither do I count my life more precious than myself, so that I may consummate my course and the ministry of the word which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Who, when he was come to us, took Paul's girdle: and binding his own feet and hands, he said: Thus saith the Holy Ghost: The man whose girdle this is, the Jews shall bind in this manner in Jerusalem, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
Then the tribune coming near, took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains: and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
That no man should be moved in these tribulations: for yourselves know, that we are appointed thereunto.
Now the Spirit manifestly saith, that in the last times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to spirits of error, and doctrines of devils,
