For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ have become clothed with Christ.
For those who are Christ's have crucified their flesh, along with its vices and desires.
and so put on the new man, who, in accord with God, is created in justice and in the holiness of truth.
Such ideas have at least an intention to attain to wisdom, but through superstition and debasement, not sparing the body, and they are without any honor in satiating the flesh.
Most beloved, I beg you, as new arrivals and sojourners, to abstain from carnal desires, which battle against the soul.
