Woe is me, that my sojourning is prolonged! I have dwelt with the inhabitants of Cedar:
Give them according to their works, and according to the wickedness of their inventions. According to the works of their hands give thou to them: render to them their reward.
There is no health in my flesh, because of thy wrath: there is no peace for my bones, because of my sins.
Some distribute their own goods, and grow richer: others take away what is not their own, and are always in want.
When the wicked man is dead, there shall be no hope any more: and the expectation of the solicitous shall perish.
The thoughts of the just are judgments: and the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.
Of the fruit of his own mouth shall a man be filled with good things: but the soul of transgressors is wicked.
My soul hath desired thee in the night: yea, and with my spirit within me in the morning early I will watch to thee. When thou shalt do thy judgments on the earth, the inhabitants of the world shall learn justice.
And I am not troubled, following thee for my pastor: and I have not desired the day of man, thou knowest. That which went out of my lips hath been right in thy sight.
Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.
But a certain dreadful expectation of judgment, and the rage of a fire which shall consume the adversaries.
