But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation.

But if a certain widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety to their own household and to make repayment to their parents; for this is acceptable before God.

holding fast to the faithful word as he was taught, that he may be able to exhort by sound doctrine, and to convince those who oppose it.


Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition,
