20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be ashamed, but with utmost boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.

But this He said, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."


But I count myself as nothing; nor do I regard my life as valuable to myself, so that I may complete my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear solemn testimony to the gospel of the grace of God.


Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, in behalf of the name of the Lord Jesus."


And when they had prayed, the place where they were gathered was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.


Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your intelligent service.


And hope does not put to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.


nor present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.


I speak in human terms on account of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to lawlessness resulting in more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness resulting in sanctification.


For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits the unveiling of the sons of God.


Just as it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame."


I affirm, by my boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.


For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.


And the wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But the woman having married cares about the things of the world--about how she may please her husband.


For even if I should boast somewhat more concerning our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I will not be ashamed,


Therefore, having such hope, we use great boldness of speech--


always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, so that also the life of Jesus may be revealed in our body.


and He died for all, so that they who live should live no longer for themselves, but for the One who died for them and rose again.


Because if in anything I have boasted to him concerning you, I was not put to shame, but as we spoke all things to you in truth, thus also our boasting to Titus became truth.


Great is my confidence toward you, great is my boasting concerning you. I have been filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.


and most of the brothers in the Lord, having been persuaded by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word fearlessly.


But even if I am being poured upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice; yea, and I rejoice with you all.


I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for His body, which is the church,


Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be put to shame, but let him glorify God in this matter.


And now, little children, abide in Him, in order that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed due to Him at His coming.
