An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And leaving them behind He went away.


And when Jesus was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper,


And when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, towards the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples;


And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. And having looked around at all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.


And when it became evening, He was going forth outside of the city.


And while He was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He was reclining for a meal, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly pure nard. And having broken the flask, she began to pour it out over His head.


But Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea. And a large multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea


Now it came to pass as they traveled, that He entered into a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.


And it came to pass, as He drew near to Bethsphage and Bethany, to the mountain which is called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples,


And He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands, He blessed them.


Now there was a certain man who was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha.


Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.
