Now all this came to pass that the thing spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying,


How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?"


In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to arrest Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.


But all this has happened so that the Scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.


Then He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds came together to Him, and as He was accustomed, He was teaching them.


Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking about in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him.


Then Jesus answered and said, as He was teaching in the temple, "How say the scribes that the Christ is the Son of David?


Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Have you come out, as against a bandit, with swords and clubs to arrest Me?


Then they all forsook Him and fled.


And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were seeking to destroy Him,


For I say to you that this which has been written must still be accomplished in Me--the saying, 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have a fulfillment."


And Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon's Porch.


Jesus answered him, "I spoke openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where the Jews always come together, and in secret I spoke nothing.


Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.


Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He that follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."


And early in the morning, He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and having sat down, He began to teach them.
