He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will."


Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, let Your will be done."


Therefore pray in this manner: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.


But looking at them Jesus said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."


They said to Him, "We are able." So Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink the cup which I drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized you will be baptized with;


Then He came and found them sleeping, and He said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Were you not strong enough to watch one hour?


"Now My soul has been troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this reason I came to this hour.


Then Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which My Father has given Me?"


Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.


I can of My own self do nothing. Even as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.


And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"


And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.


If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.


in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time itself,


in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before us;
