28 Therefore Jesus cried out, as He was teaching in the temple, saying, "You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come on my own, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one fully knows the Son except the Father, nor does anyone fully know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.


And when he arrived, he settled down in a city called Nazareth, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, "He would be called a Nazarene."


In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to arrest Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.


And turning to His disciples He said, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him."


For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.


So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth.


Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David,


Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them. And His mother kept all these things in her heart.


And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."


do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?


For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.


Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words which I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who abides in Me does the works.


But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father has charged Me, thus I do. Rise up, let us go from here.


And these things they will do to you because they did not know the Father nor Me.


O righteous Father! Indeed the world did not know You, yet I knew You; and these knew that You sent Me.


And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.


This man came to Him by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."


He who receives His testimony has certified that God is true.


There is another who testifies about Me, and I know that the testimony which He testifies concerning Me is true.


I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.


And they were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does this Man say, 'I have come down from heaven'?"


But now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began to teach.


Jesus answered and said to them, "Even if I should testify about Myself, My testimony is valid, because I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going.


But even if I do judge, My judgment is true; because I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me.


Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would also know My Father."


I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and the things which I heard from Him, these things I say to the world."


Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would have loved Me, for I came forth and have come from God; nor have I come from Myself, but He sent Me.


We know that God has spoken to Moses; but as for this Man, we do not know where He is from."


for as I passed by and considered the objects of your worship, I found also an altar on which it had been inscribed: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, Him whom being ignorant of you worship, Him I announce to you:


And just as they did not approve to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things which are not fitting;


Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar, just as it is written: "That You may be justified in Your words, and You may overcome when You are judged."


But as God is faithful, our word unto you was not "Yes and no."


Because it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.


in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time itself,


in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before us;


He that believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; he that does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning His Son.
