Amplified Bible - Classic Edition

30 I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord–but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.

Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father doing; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

For I have come down from heaven, not that I might do My will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Therefore Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM, and from Myself I do nothing; but just as My Father taught Me, these things I speak.

Therefore Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would have loved Me, for I came forth and have come from God; nor have I come from Myself, but He sent Me.

And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks it and who judges.

For even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those reproaching You fell on Me."

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those practicing such things.

But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,
