John 18:40
8 Mga Krus na Reperensya

In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to arrest Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.

And they had then a notorious prisoner called Barabbas.

Then he released Barabbas to them; and having scourged Jesus, he delivered Him to be crucified.

So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered up Jesus, after he had Him flogged, so that He might be crucified.

And there was one called Barabbas, having been bound with his fellow rebels, who had committed murder in the rebellion.

And he released whom they were requesting, who because of insurrection and murder had been thrown into prison; but he delivered Jesus to their will.
