1 God, who in various ways and in many ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

to perform the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,


And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.


Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me."


However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will announce to you things to come.


Because of this Moses has given you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath.


We know that God has spoken to Moses; but as for this Man, we do not know where He is from."


And we proclaim to you the good news of the promise which was made to the fathers,


"Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to seat Him on his throne,


And having appointed for him a day, many came to him at his house, to whom he was explaining and solemnly testifying to the kingdom of God, and persuading them of the things concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning till evening.


whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.


of whom it was spoken, "In Isaac your seed shall be called,"


For by it the elders obtained witness.


See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, having refused Him who warned them, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who warns from heaven;


For if the word which was spoken through angels was confirmed, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward,


how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which in the beginning was spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,


And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of the things which would be spoken,


For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not have spoken afterward of another day.


So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You."


For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses according to law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
