24 But I count myself as nothing; nor do I regard my life as valuable to myself, so that I may complete my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear solemn testimony to the gospel of the grace of God.

who, arriving and seeing the grace of God, was glad, and encouraged them all with purpose of heart to continue with the Lord,


Now as John was finishing his course, he said, 'Whom do you suppose me to be? I am not He. But behold, there comes One after me, the sandal of whose feet I am not worthy to loosen.'


Therefore they spent a considerable time there, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, giving signs and wonders to take place by their hands.


And after much dispute, Peter arose and said to them: "Men, brothers, you know that from early days God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.


Now when both Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was compelled by the Spirit, solemnly bearing witness to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.


solemnly bearing witness to both Jews and to Greeks, the repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.


except that the Holy Spirit in every city is solemnly bearing witness, saying that bonds and tribulations are waiting for me.


So for the present, I entrust you, brothers, to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who have been sanctified.


Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, in behalf of the name of the Lord Jesus."


"Then He said to me, 'Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.' "


But the Lord said to him, "Go your way, for he is a chosen vessel to Me to bear My name before Gentiles and kings, and the sons of Israel.


And if by grace, it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.


Now to him who works, the reward is not accounted according to grace but according to debt.


So then, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.


Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.


Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not despair,


So then death is working in us, but life in you.


but we are confident and prefer rather to be away from home from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.


Great is my confidence toward you, great is my boasting concerning you. I have been filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.


Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead),


to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He bestowed favor upon us in the Beloved.


Therefore I beseech you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, which is your glory.


But even if I am being poured upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice; yea, and I rejoice with you all.


because for the work of Christ he drew near unto death, being careless with his life, in order that he might fill up that which was lacking in your service to me.


I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for His body, which is the church,


But suffering before and being spitefully treated at Philippi, just as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much conflict.


that no one should be disturbed by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are appointed unto this.


For which cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I have been persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed to Him until that Day.


persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, in Iconium, at Lystra--what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.


But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fulfilled, and all the Gentiles might hear, and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.


but has in due time manifested His word in a proclamation, with which I was entrusted according to the command of God our Savior;


For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,


For you sympathized with me in my chains, and you received the plunder of your possessions with joy, knowing that you have for yourselves a better and enduring possession in heaven.


By Silvanus the faithful brother, as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying this to be the true grace of God in which you stand.


By this we have come to know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives in behalf of our brothers.


And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.


Then a long white robe was given to them, and it was said to them that they should rest yet a while, until also their fellow servants and their brothers, who were about to be killed as also they were, should complete their course.
