7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood there, and a light shined in the prison room; and striking the side of Peter, he roused him saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell away from his hands.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, and take along the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is about to seek the young Child to destroy Him."


And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.


And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel.


So Cornelius said, "From the fourth day until this hour I was fasting, and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in shining clothing,


Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And becoming eaten by worms, he died.


But when Herod was about to bring him forth, on that night Peter was sleeping, between two soldiers, having been bound with two chains; and guards before the door were keeping the prison.


And the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and put on your sandals"; and he did so. And he said to him, "Put on your cloak and follow me."


And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and all the bonds were loosed.


Whom God raised, thus doing away with the labor pains of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it.


But an angel of the Lord during the night opened the doors of the prison, and leading them out, he said,


And as he was going, it came about that he drew near to Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.


Therefore He says: "Awake, you who are sleeping, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."


Are they not all ministering spirits being sent out to minister for the sake of those who are about to inherit salvation?


After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was lit up from his splendor.
