12 For which cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I have been persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed to Him until that Day.

"But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.


Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name we cast out demons, and in Your name we did many mighty works?'


I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.


And Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, 'into Your hands I will commit My spirit.' " And after He said these things, He expired.


I do not ask that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.


No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me should draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.


But Paul and Barnabas, speaking boldly said, "It was necessary for the word of God to be spoken to you first; but since you thrust it away, and judge yourselves not worthy of eternal life; behold, we turn to the Gentiles.


But the Jews incited the devout and prominent women and the leading men of the city, raised up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out from their borders.


Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, in behalf of the name of the Lord Jesus."


And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."


For I will show him all the things that he must suffer for My name's sake."


For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, both to the Jew first and to the Greek.


Just as it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame."


who will also confirm you until the end, that you may be unimpeachable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.


each one's work shall be made manifest; for the Day shall reveal it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test each one's work, as to what sort it is.


according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be ashamed, but with utmost boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.


so as to know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,


who will transform our lowly body, that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subject all things to Himself.


More than that I also consider all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ


forbidding us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved, so as always to fill up the measure of their sins; but the wrath of God has come upon them to the uttermost.


But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.


O Timothy! Guard that which was committed to your trust, turning away from the profane and empty babblings and opposing views of what is falsely called "knowledge,"


That good thing which was committed to you, guard by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.


May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me, and he was not ashamed of my chain;


May the Lord grant to him to find mercy from the Lord in that Day--and you very well know how many ways he served in Ephesus.


Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but endure hardship with the gospel according to the power of God,


in which I endure hardship unto chains as an evildoer; but the word of God is not chained.


Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.


Faithful is this word, and concerning these things I want you to strongly affirm, so that those who have believed in God may take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.


looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.


For in that which He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to help those who are tempted.


Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those coming to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.


who by the power of God are being guarded through faith for the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.


but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be put to shame, but let him glorify God in this matter.


Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.


Now to Him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to make you stand before His glory, blameless with exultation,
