7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil, not that we may appear approved, but that you may do what is honorable, though we may be as reprobates.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.


I do not ask that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.


And just as they did not approve to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things which are not fitting;


Repay no one evil for evil; providing that which is good before all men.


Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in orgies and debaucheries, not in strife and jealousy.


Greet Apelles, approved in Christ. Greet those from the household of Aristobulus.


For there must also be sects among you, in order that those who are approved may become recognized among you.


"For his letters," they say, "are severe and boisterous, but his bodily presence is feeble, and his speech amounts to nothing."


For not he who commends himself is approved, but he whom the Lord commends.


But I trust that you will know that we are not reprobates.


For we can do nothing against the truth, but on behalf of the truth.


For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong. And this also we pray, that you may be made complete.


but in everything commending ourselves as ministers of God: in much endurance, in tribulations, in hardships, in distresses,


having regard for honorable things, not only before the Lord, but also before men.


Finally, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are just, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely--if there is any virtue and if there is any praise--meditate on these things.


Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


on behalf of kings and all those who are in authority, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.


Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.


And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!


Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him.
