8 For we do not desire you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries.


You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us; and I wish that indeed you did reign, in order that we also might reign with you!


Yes, we have had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead,


as being unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold, we live; as being disciplined, and not being put to death;
