So is he who accumulates treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet on account of you He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.


So then, as we have opportunity, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those who are of the household of faith.


Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working that which is good with his hands, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.


being witnessed by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.


who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people as His own possession, zealous for good works.


Faithful is this word, and concerning these things I want you to strongly affirm, so that those who have believed in God may take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.


But do not forget the doing of good and generosity, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.


Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him?


Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.


But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother having need, and shuts off his compassion towards him, how does the love of God abide in him?


Beloved, do not imitate the evil, but the good. He who does good is of God; he who does evil has not seen God.
