34 And the wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But the woman having married cares about the things of the world--about how she may please her husband.

34 His attention is divided. A woman who isn’t married or who is a virgin is concerned about the Lord’s concerns so that she can be dedicated to God in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the world’s concerns—how she can please her husband.

nor present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.


For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.


But the man having married cares about the things of the world--about how he may please his wife.


And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a snare upon you, but for that which is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.


apart from what I leave unmentioned, what comes against me daily: the anxiety for all the churches.


But thanks be to God who puts the same earnest care for you in the heart of Titus.


according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be ashamed, but with utmost boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.


Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.


(for if one does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);


Now she who is really a widow and having been left alone, has set her hope on God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.


Faithful is this word, and concerning these things I want you to strongly affirm, so that those who have believed in God may take thought to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
