And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay for some days.


And I, brothers, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, announcing to you the testimony of God.


which we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in words taught by the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.


For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that we have conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and especially toward you.


"For his letters," they say, "are severe and boisterous, but his bodily presence is feeble, and his speech amounts to nothing."


But even if I am unskilled in speech, yet I am not inferior in knowledge, but in every way I was made known to you in all things.


but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor falsifying the word of God, but by the disclosure of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience before God.


For we did not follow craftily devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but rather became eyewitnesses of His majesty.
