Meanwhile, the famine pressed heavily on all the land.

Judah answered: "The man himself declared to us, under the attestation of an oath, saying: 'You will not see my face, unless you bring your youngest brother with you.'


If therefore you are willing to send him with us, we will travel together, and we will buy necessities for you.


And our father said: 'Return and buy us a little wheat.'


Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, than great treasures and dissatisfaction.


Arrogance precedes destruction. And the spirit is exalted before a fall.


She has considered a field and bought it. From the fruit of her own hands, she has planted a vineyard.


But if anyone has no concern for his own, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith, and he is worse than an unbeliever.
