He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his faithful, for the people of Israel who are close to him. Praise the Lord!


But let the righteous be joyful; let them exult before God; let them be jubilant with joy.


For you are the glory of their strength; by your favor our horn is exalted.


Understand, O dullest of the people; fools, when will you be wise?


The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth.


“How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?


O simple ones, learn prudence; acquire intelligence, you who lack it.


Lay aside immaturity, and live, and walk in the way of insight.”


And I asked, “What are they coming to do?” He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no head could be raised; but these have come to terrify them, to strike down the horns of the nations that lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”


He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and on them he has set the world.
