The appetite of the lazy craves, and gets nothing, while the appetite of the diligent is richly supplied.


Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but one who has a hasty temper exalts folly.


Desire without knowledge is not good, and one who moves too hurriedly misses the way.


An estate quickly acquired in the beginning will not be blessed in the end.


The miser is in a hurry to get rich and does not know that loss is sure to come.


Do you see someone who is hasty in speech? There is more hope for a fool than for anyone like that.


Thieves must give up stealing; rather let them labor and work honestly with their own hands, so as to have something to share with the needy.
