so as not to crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain? For all this his anger has not turned away; his hand is stretched out still.

then the Lord will overwhelm both you and your offspring with severe and lasting afflictions and grievous and lasting maladies.


When they say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them, as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and there will be no escape!


Come now, you rich people, weep and wail for the miseries that are coming to you.
