then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.”


So he released Barabbas for them; and after flogging Jesus, he handed him over to be crucified.


they will mock him, and spit upon him, and flog him, and kill him; and after three days he will rise again.”


Pilate asked them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they shouted all the more, “Crucify him!”

After two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus; and since he wanted to grant the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.


But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, asked Paul, “Do you wish to go up to Jerusalem and be tried there before me on these charges?”


but I did not see any other apostle except James the Lord's brother.
