Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God.


‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is God not of the dead, but of the living.”


Jesus said to them, “Is not this the reason you are wrong, that you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God?


Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.”


For to this end Christ died and lived again, so that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
