Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.


Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;


But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.


Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.


They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”


Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”


and needed no one to testify about anyone; for he himself knew what was in everyone.


When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread for these people to eat?”


Philip answered him, “Six months' wages would not buy enough bread for each of them to get a little.”


After the secrets of the unbeliever's heart are disclosed, that person will bow down before God and worship him, declaring, “God is really among you.”


Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive commendation from God.
