You renew your witnesses against me, and increase your vexation toward me; you bring fresh troops against me.


My eye has grown dim from grief, and all my members are like a shadow.


My bones cling to my skin and to my flesh, and I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.


Their flesh is so wasted away that it cannot be seen; and their bones, once invisible, now stick out.


he gave them what they asked, but sent a wasting disease among them.


My knees are weak through fasting; my body has become gaunt.


Therefore the Sovereign, the Lord of hosts, will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors, and under his glory a burning will be kindled, like the burning of fire.
