This is the length of Abraham's life, one hundred seventy-five years.


This is the story of the family of Jacob. Joseph, being seventeen years old, was shepherding the flock with his brothers; he was a helper to the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father's wives; and Joseph brought a bad report of them to their father.


Of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.


How long must your servant endure? When will you judge those who persecute me?


The days of our life are seventy years, or perhaps eighty, if we are strong; even then their span is only toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.


So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.
