He himself went on ahead of them, bowing himself to the ground seven times, until he came near his brother.


Now Joseph was governor over the land; it was he who sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph's brothers came and bowed themselves before him with their faces to the ground.


Then their father Israel said to them, “If it must be so, then do this: take some of the choice fruits of the land in your bags, and carry them down as a present to the man—a little balm and a little honey, gum, resin, pistachio nuts, and almonds.


They said, “Your servant our father is well; he is still alive.” And they bowed their heads and did obeisance.


May his foes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust.


Moses went out to meet his father-in-law; he bowed down and kissed him; each asked after the other's welfare, and they went into the tent.
