Joseph answered Pharaoh, “It is not I; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”


Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “Pharaoh's dreams are one and the same; God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.


It is as I told Pharaoh; God has shown to Pharaoh what he is about to do.


Now therefore let Pharaoh select a man who is discerning and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.


“And you, Ezra, according to the God-given wisdom you possess, appoint magistrates and judges who may judge all the people in the province Beyond the River who know the laws of your God; and you shall teach those who do not know them.


One is commended for good sense, but a perverse mind is despised.


The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the wise counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am one of the sages, a descendant of ancient kings”?


The thing that the king is asking is too difficult, and no one can reveal it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with mortals.”


Then the king promoted Daniel, gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.
