For if we willfully persist in sin after having received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,


how can we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? It was declared at first through the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard him,


Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice,


for building an altar to turn away from following the Lord; or if we did so to offer burnt offerings or grain offerings or offerings of well-being on it, may the Lord himself take vengeance.
