And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.


Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”


When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”


He stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” He answered, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.


As I looked at it closely I saw four-footed animals, beasts of prey, reptiles, and birds of the air.


One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, at three o'clock in the afternoon.


While he clung to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's Portico, utterly astonished.


When Peter saw it, he addressed the people, “You Israelites, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we had made him walk?


When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them for alms.


And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.
