But he said, “O Lord God, how am I to know that I shall possess it?”


“ ‘And this shall be the sign for you: This year you shall eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from that; then in the third year sow, reap, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.


“Turn back, and say to Hezekiah prince of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of your ancestor David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; indeed, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.


Then Isaiah said, “Bring a lump of figs. Let them take it and apply it to the boil, so that he may recover.”


Isaiah said, “This is the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he has promised: the shadow has now advanced ten intervals; shall it retreat ten intervals?”


Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it to the boil, so that he may recover.”


Hezekiah also had said, “What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?”


Ask a sign of the Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.


Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel.


After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him.


“Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.


This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.”


Then he said to him, “If now I have found favor with you, then show me a sign that it is you who speak with me.
