Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”


They set out for the first time at the command of the Lord by Moses.


And when you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out.


These are the stages of the people of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt by their companies under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.


They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover, the people of Israel went out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,


It is eleven days’ journey from Horeb by the way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea.
