And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye?
Or how will you say to your brother, 'Permit me to remove the speck from your eye'; and look, there is a plank in your own eye?
Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.
Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the earth and of the sky, but how is it you do not discern this time?
The Lord then answered him and said, "Hypocrites! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it?
He said to them, "You will surely say this proverb to Me, 'Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your hometown.' "
Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, permit me to remove the speck which is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck which is in your brother's eye.
