"The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' And so wisdom is justified by her children."


But if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the assembly. But if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax collector.


And if you greet your friends only, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?


"Take care not to be doing your charitable giving before men, so as to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have not a reward from your Father in heaven.


Now it came about, as He was dining in Levi's house, that many tax collectors and sinners were dining together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him.


And the scribes and Pharisees, seeing Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, said to His disciples, "Why does He eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"


Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were drawing near to Him to hear Him.


And the tax collector, standing far away, would not so much as lift his eyes towards heaven, but beat on his chest, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'


And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, and he was a chief tax collector, and this man was rich.


But when they saw it, they all were complaining, saying, "He has gone to be a guest with a sinful man."


Then tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, "Teacher, what shall we do?"


Then Levi made a great banquet for Him in his own house. And there was a great number of tax collectors and others who were reclining with them to eat.


And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, "Why do You eat and drink with the tax collectors and sinners?"


And when all the people heard Him, even the tax collectors justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John.


The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'
