"Furthermore it has been said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a divorce certificate.'

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

It has also been said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.

It was said also, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

“It was said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife must give her a divorce certificate.’

And it has been said: 'Whoever would dismiss his wife, let him give her a bill of divorce.'

And it hath been said, Whoseoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a bill of divorce.

The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"

They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?"
