and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had passed away were raised;
and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
The tombs were opened and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep in death were raised [to life];
and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised;
and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised.
And the tombs were opened. And many bodies of the saints, which had been sleeping, arose.
And the graves were opened: and many bodies of the saints that had slept arose,
These things He said, and after this He said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awaken him."
Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And having said this, he fell asleep."
Because of this many among you are weak and sick, and many have died.
But now Christ has been raised from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have died.
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all die, but we shall all be changed--
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, thus also God will bring with Him those who die in Jesus.
who died for us, in order that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him.
