So they answered Jesus and said, "We do not know." And He said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.


"If David therefore calls Him 'Lord,' how is He his Son?"


Now when Jesus saw that he answered intelligently, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And no one dared any longer to question Him.


And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things which were done by Him.


But they were silent. And taking hold of him, He healed him, and let him go.


And they were not able to answer Him regarding these things.


But after that they dared not question Him anymore.


But because they saw standing with them the man who had been healed, they had nothing to say against them.


saying, 'I am the God of your fathers--the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' And Moses was trembling and was not bold enough to look closely.
