And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut them off and cast them from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, than having two hands or two feet, to be thrown into the eternal fire.
Then the lame and the blind came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who were following, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
And as they were going out, behold, they brought to Him a mute man, being demon-possessed.
And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, "It was never seen like this in Israel!"
Now when the crowds saw, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
And immediately he arose, and taking his bed, he went out before them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!"
And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."
If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It would be better for you to enter into life maimed, than to enter having two hands, to go into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched--
But whenever you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;
