But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.


For assuredly I say to you, until heaven and earth may pass away, one iota or one tittle shall by no means pass away from the law until all things are fulfilled.


Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name we cast out demons, and in Your name we did many mighty works?'


And as many as do not receive you nor hear you, as you leave from there, shake off the dust underneath your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom or for Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"


He that rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word which I spoke, that word will judge him in the last day.


And this is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.


not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, just as is the custom for some, but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.


and reducing the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes, He condemned them to destruction, having made them an example who were to be ungodly,


then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and how to keep the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,


but the present heavens and earth, having been stored up by His word, are being reserved for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.


By this love has been perfected with us: that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because just as He is, we also are in this world.


And the angels who did not keep their own domain, but rather having left their own habitation, He has kept with everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;


as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to fornication and having gone after other flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
