Now His betrayer had given to them a sign, saying, "Whomever I shall kiss, He is the One; take Him and lead Him away safely."

And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas arrived, being one of the twelve, and with him a large crowd with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.


And when he arrived, immediately he approached Him and said to Him, "Rabbi, Rabbi!" and he affectionately kissed Him.


And when they laid many strokes on them, they cast them into prison, commanding the prison keeper to keep them securely;


and not being terrified in anything by your enemies, which is to them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and this from God.
