Jesus answered and said to them, "You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
Jesus answered and said to them, "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?
"For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all are alive to Him."
For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, so that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
