And while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men,
And this word they kept to themselves, questioning what it meant to rise from the dead.
But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.
But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what was being said.
Then a dispute came up among them as to which of them might be greater.
His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and they did these things to Him.
The crowd answered Him, "We heard from the law that the Christ abides forever; and so how do You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"
Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"
Therefore the disciples were saying to one another, "Has anyone brought Him something to eat?"
