When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand, then the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed being sown beside the road.


And as he sowed, some seed fell alongside the road; and the birds came and devoured them.


And these are the seeds beside the road where the word is sown, and whenever they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word which was sown in their hearts.


"Now this is the parable: The seed is the word of God.


But those on the rock are they that, whenever they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of testing fall away.


A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell alongside the road; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.


And the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
