But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,


Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And dividing His garments, they cast lots.


"But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,


But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping to receive nothing back; and your reward shall be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.


And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and the Jews, together with their rulers, to mistreat and to stone them,


Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And having said this, he fell asleep."


Bless those that persecute you; bless and do not curse.


And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;


Out of the same mouth come blessings and curses. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.


not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called for this purpose, that you may inherit a blessing.
