And passing by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, "Follow Me." And arising, he followed Him.
Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Cananite;
After these things He went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me."
He chose Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew;
Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor.
Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us also go, so that we may die with Him."
But Thomas, one of the twelve, the one called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.
And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Both Peter and James and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
Now after they had finished speaking, James answered, saying, "Men and brothers, listen to me:
But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the brother of the Lord.
