Still another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.'
Now great crowds were traveling with Him. And turning, He said to them,
He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it for eternal life.
But I count myself as nothing; nor do I regard my life as valuable to myself, so that I may complete my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear solemn testimony to the gospel of the grace of God.
More than that I also consider all things to be loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have sustained the loss of all things, and I consider them to be rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
