Then the Pharisees went out with the Herodians and immediately conspired against Him, how they might destroy Him.
But they were filled with fury, and they were discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.
And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem so that they might ask him, "Who are you?"
Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, but He escaped from their hand.
Remember the word which I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
Therefore the Jews said to the man who was healed, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed."
But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had turned aside, while a crowd was in that place.
The man went away and reported to the Jews that Jesus was the One who had made him well.
But Jesus answered them, "My Father has been working until now, and I am working."
Because of this the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but also He called God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.
Jesus answered and said to them, "I did one work, and you all marvel.
Therefore some of people of Jerusalem were saying, "Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill?
